Energy Compliance

Ensuring every box is ticked is essential to the operations of any organisation.

Being energy compliant not only ensures a smooth day to day operation, but by fulfilling your obligations & requirements your organisation will be tracking & reducing energy consumption, whilst raising the focus on energy-efficient technology.

We approach energy compliance with maximising energy & cost efficiency at the heart of our service.

The below outlines a range of services available for all clients.

EPC's

EPCs tell you how energy efficient a building is & give it a rating from A (efficient) to G (inefficient). The certificate illustrates how costly it is to heat & light your property, & what its carbon dioxide emissions are likely to be

DEC's

DECs were introduced to show the energy performance of buildings occupied by public bodies. A DEC provides an energy efficiency rating of the building based on the actual level of metered energy consumed.

ESOS

ESOS is a mandatory energy assessment scheme which was in introduced by the Environment Agency.   Eligible organisations must report on their energy consumption every four years, failure to do so can lead to large penalty fines.

CCA's

(CCAs) Climate Change Agreements are voluntary agreements made between the Environment Agency & UK industry. The aim of the CCA's are to reduce energy consumption & carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, of which in return organisations can receive a discount on their Climate Change Levy (CCL), a tax added to electricity & Gas invoices.

Net Zero & Carbon Compliance

Organisations are facing more & more mandatory Carbon reporting, while others are looking to actively engage with net zero targets. Energy compliance & Carbon reporting is a rapidly changing landscape as the urgency around cutting emissions intensifies.

Achieving regulatory compliance is key, but to go that step further & ensure you are doing all you can to cut emissions & achieve carbon neutrality will bring bigger benefits.

MOP & DC's

Organisations with half-hourly (HH) electricity meters require a Meter Operator (MOP) & Data Collector (DC) agreement in place.

The MOP is responsible for installing & maintaining the electricity meter, whilst the DC Operator is responsible for validating the HH meter data & pass onto the supplier for billing & settlement purposes.

MEES

If an organisation lease's a non-domestic building over 50m² in the private rental sector, then the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) applies.

It's unlawful to agree a new lease for a non-domestic property with an (EPC) rating below an 'E'. If your building doesn’t achieve the minimum MEES standard, this will have a major impact on the value of the property & ability to lease.
